I've been driving one of the slower cars available for a little less than a year now. And I've noticed (on county road) the speed you go is not limited by the car much, speed is limited to how fast you drive it. So owning a fast car is less relevant. Now I know a Prius could go fast, in terms of real road hooning, so has anybody done It on a regular basis? I would assume it has a fair balance because of the batteries.

You can't hoon a Prius without seriously messing with the code, it has anti-fun logic built in.

A Prius is the unique combination of weight, slow revving engine, and lazy transmission perfect for discouraging hooning.

My mom has a 2004 Toyota Prius. One day, my car was in the shop for something and I had a choice. No car, or ride around in the spaceship all day with friends.
I chose the Prius and boy did I noon the shit out of it. I was 17 and remember trying to rip donuts in my high school parking lot and even getting it up to 95 miles an hour from a dead stop. This was fun slow. Yes, I was an idiot and YES the Prius can HOON!

when do you need to go above 100mph? And any slow car with good tires possibly wider rims can hang 1g in a corner so why would you need a car that is "fast". Fun driving occurs at the limit of the tires, which, usually dosent require more than 200hp to achieve.

Can you even fully defeat the TCS on those?

Accelerating quickly and slowly gaining speed are the differences. I agree, it's still totally possible to have a lot of fun with a capable chassis and a bit over 200-hp, like an a base 3 series, but it's also fun to just accelerate hard. It's really fun.

I hit 98 in my old 2005 on the freeway...it didn't feel very safe.

"owning a fast car is less relevant"
was thinking exactly this just today, I got ZOOMED past by an M6 a dozen times in traffic. They were weaving in and out, flooring it, it was fun to watch. but we caught up at nearly every red light.
a slow car at its limit is more fun than a fast car you can next stress - my opinion

Roadkill did. Poor thing didn't last long before bad noises happened and it stopped entirely. If I remember correctly there was also a little bit of fire.
